Life At The Buriganga

The Buriganga River is the lifeline of Dhaka. Here, the infamous boatmen of Dhaka ply their trades of ferrying people across the river. Even though there are ferry services, many of the locals, as well as travellers prefer to use the services of the boatpeople, a culture handed down decades ago. This image shows a boatman collecting his clothes from a dryline in the evening at the river bank of Buriganga.
