Dining on Local Fish in the Dominican Republic

While traveling, I wanted to eat sustainably, which meant eating local. Not only did I enjoy locally grown fruits while traveling in the Dominican Republic, but locally harvested fish as well. When I asked the restaurant owner, "Is the fish local," She thought I asked if it was "loco," the Spanish word for "crazy." Suddenly concerned, she asked, "Does it taste okay?"
