Wat Lao Buddharam Kambouneheuang Inc. celebrated the completion of its peace pagoda in Baldwin, Georgia. The event began on June 1 and culminated on the weekend of June 14. This peace pagoda has been under construction since 2004, and all supplies have been provided through donations according to Wat Lao inaugural founding member Sengkeo Lattanaxay. This momentous occasion brought out hundreds of community members and monks from across the country. Shown are local and visiting monks undertaking the “rinsing” of their past and earning new levels of rankings. Published in The Northeast Georgian newspaper.
