The world's happiest children, found in a Kamous village
Of my two week service trip in Cambodia, Laos and Thailand, this day was my favorite. After riding elephants in Luang Prabang, we hiked forty-five minutes to a Kamous village that can only be reached by foot. Three Doctors chaperoned the trip, and with student help would set up clinics for the residences of villages, while others played with the local children. This was the poorest village we visited, and those running the clinic found that most people were starving. Yet, to this day I have not met happier children.
