Lakit applies "burak" - a powder made of water weeds or rice and a yellow spice - to her face, to cool it down and protect from the sun. Lakit is the one who takes care of looks in the family - she shaves everyone's eyebrows, makes their hair and takes care of their skin. Lakit's family is still living on the boat and does't want to move on land, as they say land scares them and they wouldn't feel free there.
