14th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
One of the caretakers of the half-buried San Guillermo Parish Church in Bacolor, Pampanga permitted me to take a photo of him after my visit to the place. The church has been considered one of the most visited churches in the province because aside from being known as the taping site of a hit TV series in the Philippines, it is also a survivor of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption (lahar flow from the eruption buried the church at half its 12-meter height). The church has a Baroque-inspired structure as well.
