The Bride

An opera artist in her role as a traditional Chinese bride. Ancient customs of the Chinese marriage require the bride to be fully covered so her face will be revealed to her husband only on the night of her wedding. This practice has ceased decades ago, but the role of the opera artist is to remind us of traditions that was once a part of us.
