14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest

Rick is a homeless man who asked my son and I for money outside the Museum of Fine Art, Boston. I apologized, saying I don't carry cash. He said it was okay, but I could take his picture. I stopped, asking him if he just said he'd like his photo taken. "Yeah." So I did. He asked what I'd do with it. I said I'd just keep it and he was disappointed. So I asked if I could put it on my photo site, where people could see it. He smiled, "Yeah! That'd be good."
