Rachel learns to swim In Nassau, Bahamas

In April of 2014 we took a family vacation to Nassau, Bahamas. It was very nice. We stayed at an all inclusive resort over-looking the gorgeous Caribbean Sea, which included all the free food you could eat and all the free drinks you wanted for one whole week ! It was awesome because we paid for the trip with our federal tax return. That is usually how we can afford to take a vacation. Well, at the time my daughter was only 3 years old. The husband and myself had no problems entertaining ourselves. but a 3-year-old ?That was another totally different situation. We mainly chilled out and relaxed on the first day that we were there. My daughter watched cartoons, ate snacks, and drew pictures. The husband and I started talking about going swimming later on that day in the resort's huge outdoor pool. It even had a small slide for younger children. Well, on the second day we went swimming in the pool. Rachel couldn't swim so my husband held her in his arms where-ever it was too deep for her to touch the bottom of the pool. She was big enough though to go down the little water slide. At the bottom of the slide it was only about 2 and 1/2-feet deep. Anyways, later that day my husband told me that Rachel should and needs to learn how to swim. That way she would always be safe in the water. I learned to swim at the same age too. It was so sweet watching the two of them together. My husband was being so patient and kind with her that I almost had a stroke ! (He isn't exactly known for his patience) They were so sweet together in that pool. It turned out to be the best idea ever teaching Rachel how to swim that day. She is growing up so fast ! Rachel and her father have always been close. I guess Their relationship Is growing even stronger with every day that passes. Now she can swim like a fish. This picture was taken with my CANNON SURE SHOT, 105 MM ZOOM LENS , and it takes 35 MM ROLLS OF FILM. It's a decent little camera. I have had it for several years. My husband gave it to me for Christmas one year.
