12th Annual Smithsonian.com Photo Contest
Primary

I was at a photo shoot in Seattle and this model greatly drew my eye. Her pale complexion and intense red hair contrasting with the cool mint green of her dress made for an appealing subject. When she was moving around I noticed the tattoo on her wrist. Being a Studio Art major I knew immediately that it represented an artist. From that moment we clicked having the same interests in the studio arts. Naturally I had her show it off for it was something that represented both of us. I named this image "Primary" because the tattoo shows the three basic shapes shaded with the three primary colors, the most basic aspects of art.
