In West Bengal , there is a tradition of burning "Dhuno" a powder mixture of Chemicals , to celebrate worshipping of certain Gods and Goddesses. The women members of the family are the only one performing this celebratory ritual with her child, most of the time to pray for the wellbeing of their families during festivals of worship. This image was taken during one such festival “Maa Shetala puja”.
