Maasai Boy With Cattle

A Maasai boy tends to cattle near a village in Tanzania. Boys start young in Maasai culture, and from an early age are taught to tend livestock, particularly cattle. This way of life is unsustainable, however. Over-grazing is turning Maasai lands barren throughout Tanzania. It is likely that this boy will live to see the end of the Maasai as a cattle-based culture.
