Kevin

Kevin, also known as Giselle, joined an LGBTQ community group that turned themselves in at a point of entry on the U.S. border to seek asylum. Born a woman, now identifying as a man, the LGBT group provided some sanctuary from prejudice within the caravan. Over the course of our journey from Tapachula to Tijuana, I became good friends with Kevin. Kevin (age 20) confided that he grew up on the streets of Honduras when he left home. Since turning himself in in Tijuana, we haven’t heard from him.
