James and Tooter Shipley and the Duck

Shipley's is one of two remaining full service stations in Bowling Green, KY. It was started by James Shipley and is now run by his son, Tooter, after James' passing. Shipley's has been open for business for 75 years in the same spot. It is a major spot of history and continuity in the community and exhibits every single element of what it means to have culture in the United States. All generations frequent this establishment. The shop is full of historical, old artifacts.
