Intercultural Navajo Woman

The Dene or People of the land were colonized by Spanish Missionaries and coined Navajo or People of Planted fields. Navajo is the largest recognized Native American Tribe in the US. After attending Pow Wows, Cultural events and Community driven events I was kindly told what I was trying to do was impossible. The Navajo regalia is considered an extension of a person and heirlooms are sacred. I was fortunate to gain the support of 1 lady and she dressed me as is customary.
