In the glacier
This is an ice cave in Langjökull, Europe’s second-largest glacier. During construction around 5,500m³ of ice was removed to build the ice cave from the glacier which totals around 200bn.m³. The project is completely reversible and the ice cave will disappear over time if no maintenance is carried out.It was pretty cool experience knowing that you are literally in the glacier. The ice is slowly moving down, because it sits on a hill, so some parts will have to be rebuilt in 10+ years...
