Glacial Viewing

Jokulsarlon in Iceland is truly an impressive pace to behold, as these visitors experience. While it is beautiful, it is also a site exhibiting the accelerated melt and retreat of Iceland's glaciers. Here, the glacier calves and breaks off into the ocean at a rate faster than it makes up. The melt has accelerated since 1995.
