Cigar seller, Old Havana, Cuba
A happy cigar seller in Piaza Vieja, Old Havana, Cuba. Piaza Vieja emerged as an open space in 1559. It the site of executions, processions, bullfights, and fiestas, all witnessed by Havana's wealthiest citizens, who looked on from their balconies. But what really makes this country special is the people. Cubans are some of the friendliest and most honest people on the planet. Their quest for independence and sovereignty animates their spirit and shapes their worldview and even their identity
