Changing Shoes in the Park
As you get older, what is important begins to change. This man is unashamedly changing his shoes and socks in a public setting. And why shouldn’t he? He is intent on his task and unconscious of the photographer snapping his picture, and if he had been aware, he probably would not have cared that much. This is a tiny but precise symbol of the freedom from embarrassment that comes with realizing what isn’t important as you get older.
