Before 'Visarjan'

Bengal is famous for the four days long festival "Durgapuja" where people worship , enjoy and feel happy. Finally, the idol of Goddess Durga is taken to river Ganges for immersion, according to Hindu mythology, Goddess Durga comes to her father's home from heaven to stay for four days and then returns to her husband lord Shiva. During Visarjan (Immersion) procession , the frenzy reaches its peak where women of Bengal wear traditional dresses, play with vermilion and dance to celebrate .
