Afghan Woman

The photo shows an elderly Afghan woman from Turkman Refugee Village near Peshawar - Pakistan. She lives with her only son who is deaf and dumb in a single room. She is physically disabled after a stroke and her son has to carry her around in a hand made cart. She is extremely poor and her son works at a nearby brick factory. He has to take extra breaks to make food for her and take her to the washroom etc. She migrated to Pakistan during the Afghan war 30 years ago.
