A shop owner in western Turkey

A shop owner selling traditional Turkish "Tespih", or prayer bracelets in Izmir's Kemeralti pazar. These common beaded bracelets were originally crafted in Istanbul from gold, silver, ivory, tortoiseshell, amber, and other materials and were sold throughout the Islamic world. Turkish men can frequently be seen holding these bracelets, as it's a common habit to roll and rub the beads throughout the day.
