A self-portrait amidst the Arashiyama bamboos

One of my favorite places to visit: the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Apart from the cultural significance and practicality of bamboo, the plant in forest form lends itself to dramatic lighting and a fantastical sense of wonder. You can just imagine a guzheng being played in the distance.
