The Moroccan Weaver

Despite Morocco’s relatively modern and westernized Islamic society in the major metropolitan areas such as Casablanca and Rabat, smaller cities outside the coast still follow strict social heiarchies; women are not allowed to be photographed, but while in an attempt to capture what I felt, photographing a woman behind a fence of yarn - hands dangling out like a jail cell - was more evocative than I had expected.
