Winter, the fairest of them all.

A heavy rain had proceeded the day I decided to try my way through the woods to an overlook of the town. I expected the small stream to be pregnant with runoff and my feet to be oozing and sloshing with each step. A wind had come up that morning following the storm, quickly drying the leaf litter covering the path. This little reflecting pool was one of the last, holding on. As I lay, my eyes level with the leaves, the miniature pool was transformed into a magic mirror, revealing the winter ahead.
