While walking along the beach at the west end of Kiawah Island, I saw a willet near the surf, struggling to hold onto something large. It wasn't until I examined the photo at home, some hours later, that I realized that the willet was carrying not a fish but a crab in its beak. I love that you can see his long, pink tongue.
