Waiting for millipedes while hiking Gabes Mountain Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

On the first of a three day hike in GSMNP with my family, we crossed under a tree that had fallen over the trail. I was last, and almost missed these two millipedes crossing over the top side of the leaning trunk. My wife and sons were patiently waiting in the background as I took the pic.
