During deployment, his wife battled cancer while he was on a submarine for 6 months without any way to contact her regularly (not even email or phone). This homecoming was bittersweet.

Discovering the Pocono's--
This guy was eating his ice cream cone like a kid, and enjoying it so much I asked if I could capture it. He tipped his hat and said, "Yes, ma'am."
Taken under the mid-day sun, the monarchs were out in droves this late August. This little guy fluttered into the photo as I was capturing the bright pinkness of the flower.
Taken on the homecoming of a Naval Submarine, these families and children were waiting patiently for their fathers to return to them unharmed.
