Time to Adult

Sitting under my Japanese maple I noticed something green that wasn't there earlier in the day. I noticed this cicada molting. I've always just seen their exoskeletons, never in my life have I seen the adult actually emerging. Rare sighting I suppose. I was honestly grossed out at first until I realized what was going on. The color on this one is amazing.
