If you were to walk outside my that day, you’d think you were stuck in a war zone. The smoke was so thick that I could hear the planes and helicopters but couldn’t see them. I’m proud to have these men and women as our smoke soldiers who look fear in the eye and face it with unfailing courage. I deeply appreciate the sacrifices that all of you make to keep our communities safe. You are our Earth angels.
