The Beast that sleeps in the Great Pacific Northwest,Mount St.Helens

Mount St.Helens in Washington shows that beauty can most definitely come out of mass destruction. The surprise eruption happened back in 1980 ,but to many Washington homeowners it still remains fresh in the back of many minds. The eruption rose 80,000 feet into the atmosphere and the ash traveled acrossed 11 U.S. states. Thermal energy was equal to 26 megatons .The lives of 57 people where lost along with thousands of animals. With so much history and beauty Mount St. Helens is a must see attraction.
