At sunset each evening fishes congregate beneath the balcony of a hotel on Mahé Island. The fishes are regularly thrown pieces of bread by the hotel guests and have become habituated. Unfortunately, fish feeding is not as benign an activity as one might think and can have negative consequences for the marine environment.
