Sun Peeking Through Blackened Wildfire Skies.
This image is of a lone tree on a mountain ridge located just outside of Hat Creek CA. This photo captures the essence of the conditions in which occur regularly in fire active locations. The intense black smoke and ash fill the skies during a hot August afternoon. The history making Eiler fire is heading in the direction of this lone tree which sits along a mountain ridge. There were virtually no sounds to be heard other than the raging sounds of the wildfire off in the distance as it exploded massive drought stricken trees, snapping them like matchsticks. The fire ended up changing directions, so this lonely tree lived to see another day.
