Skeleton of tree in Deadvlei, Namibia

Dead trees litter the dried up salt lake deep in the Namib Desert. The dried up lake has a salt crust which reflects the already intense heat from the Sun. Very little lives out here but occasionally the scuttle of an insect makes you wonder how they do.
