My first ever backpacking trip was the Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali Coast of Kauai, Hawaii, with my best friend. Our first day on the trail it poured rain for 6 miles straight. My friend and I were bummed by the weather, and feared that our next two days could be the same forecast. But when the rain broke, it delivered the most beautiful light and mist in the air, which was prominent above the mountains.
