Scarlet Macaws Carara Nat'l Park, Costa Rica

I recently visited to Costa Rica in January 2017 for Medical Tourism. After surgery to place 5 dental implants, I was determined to see as much of the country as I could. A friendly local, an older gentlemen, we met on the bus to Jaco, suggested a stop at Carara. I am so grateful, as it was one of the most memorable experiences I ever had. How fortunate for my mom and I, to happen to arrive during nesting season and capture some fantastic photos of these beauties over 30 feet up in a hollowed out tree.
