Ruby eyes and a tail made of gold

A beautiful living gem from the dry savannah in South East Queensland, Australia. I spent several nights looking for this beautiful gecko, Strophurus taenicauda. I knew what they looked like from pictures but when I stumbled upon it I was so amazed all I could do was utter a silent "wow". Unfortunately these awesome creatures are listed as near threatened do to habitat loss and I hope to draw more attention to the matter with this image.
