Rice terraces in Bali

Taken on the island of Bali, this photo shows some of the beautiful rice terraces which Bali is well-known for. The irrigation system created to feed water into them, following the natural curves of the landscape, is known as 'subak'; the entire subak landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage area.
