Renewal and regeneration

In 2006 a wild fire started by lightening occurred in the Kaibab forest along highway 67. Initially the fire was allowed to run it's course, but then the wind came up and the fire became very hot and spread quickly. It took everything in it's path. This picture depicts nature at it's best.
