Portrait of a Galapagos Marine Iguana

A Galapagos marine iguana's diet consists solely of green algae they harvest from the ocean floor. Since these creatures, unique to the Galapagos Islands, are cold blooded, they sun themselves on land to warm up after such dives. This photo was taken on Fernandina Island in the Galapagos.
