Animal: Polar Bear Cubs
Location: Alaska, United States of America
Get a unique glimpse into the world of two Polar Bear cubs as they show off their personality wrestling during a light arctic snowstorm. These two Polar Bear cubs are going to grow up to be North Americans top predator that stand nearly ten feet tall on their hind legs while weighing over one thousand pounds. These two cubs will stick to their mother's side for thirty months until they are ready to survive the unforgiving arctic conditions alone.
In one of the most northern points in America lies an area where Polar Bears congregate to eat food rich in fat. After observing polar bears in the Alaskan tundra they have some of the best personalities. Cubs love to play with one another burring off much needed energy while their parents forage the arctic for food.
As I was laying on the cold tundra floor during a light snow storm two Polar Bear cubs from different parents started to approach one another. With each step a cub took it became apparent that playtime was about to begin. Even though the Polar Bear cub on the bottom was much smaller it did not stop it from jumping at the other one to initiate their wrestling. The cub on top was able to use its size advantage to get the upper hand, but the chick on the bottom just wanted to play and enjoyed rolling around in the snow with its companion. This moment shows why Mother Nature is truly the greatest artist of us all.
