These 2 masked treefrogs (Smilisca phaeota) encountered each other on this tree branch near a breeding pool. The green male immediately attempted to mate with the brown male, upon realizing his mistake the green male released the other frog and clambered over him, briefly stopping in this rather funny pose before moving on.
