Pelicans Return after 100 years

Spotting a large sea bird from a bluff over looking the waters of Green Bay, Wisconsin, I was confused. Having sailed Lake Michigan for decades, I had never seen a pelican. Yet, here was an American White Pelican. They have returned after one hundred years absence and are breeding in Door County, Wisconsin.
