Painting with Sirius
The Universe isn’t ordered or stagnant, and we shouldn’t only show it that way. As an astrophotographer, I believe that there is more than just accuracy, there is art out there.
Typically our work is complicated combination of guided motors, stacking software, and CCD cameras, designed to maintain synchronicity with our subject. Instead I allowed the telescope to lag, danced it around, and allowed it to freely move in the wind, and capture erratic motion. I always strive to show people space at it’s most organic--in a beautiful kind of chaos.
