Osprey Takeoff

An osprey preparing to leave its nest in search of food for her chick. The nest is ideally set on a pole in a channel stream between the Florida mainland a large sandbar island. The pole is virtually inaccessible for most predators, while the channel provides an abundant resource of salt water fish living off of the surrounding mangroves and those using the strong current cause by the narrow passage to migrate to other destinations.
