This is a beautiful juvenile Black-Crowned Night Heron perched in a tree branch born at the Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary from injured parents in captivity under animal care. Hundreds of birds such as this one are released to the wild year-round at Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida. Proudly volunteering my photography for a noble cause.
