My girlfriend and I were hiking along the Te Araroa trail in New Zealand, and arrived at the Nelson Lakes section on the south island. This was by far our most challenging section yet. It was 8 days long. We were stuck in a hut the day before this photo because of bad weather. It was worth not turning back because the terrain after the storm was absolutely stunning.
