Muscovy Duck by the Lake
It was late afternoon, the skies overcast, the rain had finally stopped. I took my dog out for a much needed walk before the next round of rainfall began. It felt good to stretch our legs and as we were nearing the lake in our neighborhood, I noticed this beautiful brown and white Muscovy duck also in a need of stretching out. She was on the rocks at the edge of the lake, preening and drying out her wet wings and body. I waited to capture this moment.
