Mount Shasta in Late July

I was on a cross country road trip with my cousin, and we stopped in Northern California. After 12 hours of driving one day, dusk began to blanket the landscape that surrounded us as we neared our destination. Out of the deep, smoky haze, I saw what looked to be clouds. Upon further inspection, I found that it was the fading image of the snow upon Mount Shasta. After camping that night beneath her beauty, we hiked up a parallel mountain to take in her great wisdom in the morning mists. This photo was taken later that day as the smoke and mist had cleared enough to capture the grandeur of the scenery. The water featured is called heart lake; a small glacial lake that lied above where we camped.
