An elephant and calf make their way slowly across a dry lake bed in the East African savanna, giving themselves a dust bath now and then as they prod along. To the left of the frame, the gently rising slope of mighty Kilimanjaro reaches into the clouds, its snow melt a constant source of underground water for this semi arid region of the continent - Location: Amboseli, Kenya
